You are doing something wrong if those are not 10m cases or massive jumps in rock gardens tbh

  2. Other than trashed wheels, why is it end of season?

So the trails close near you?

I’m in new England and other than falling leaves the season is even better because it is not hot and there are no bugs.

Just broke my first, had cushcore in and usually run higher pressure, but used as an excuse to upgrade 😎

I haven’t wrecked any in a while, but my worst season was four. That year I exploded two front wheels in a weekend (one Chris King hub flange tore off and a rock pierced through a Crossmax SX rim the next day)

I gave up and went with Santa Cruz reserve wheels, no more problems. Carbon wheels really are amazing, three years later and still true.

  6. Get an insert to help prevent this. I went through a couple rims before doing so and I’ve not regretted it.

  7. After I bought fancy carbon wheels with a lifetime warranty for all of my bikes, I never broke a rim again

Lost one on a trail called slab and tickle at Snoqualmie bike park in Washington state us

If you’re trashing your rims like that – increase your tire inflation and consider getting inserts. Also wider tires can be helpful.

  10. only one so far and it was because i ran into a literal rock wall trying to make a stupid shortcut 🤦‍♀️. (lg: biancabunxo)
