Hi – I was looking for a bike that I can ride on gravel trails and roads here in the Midwest and also be fast.
Seller won’t go below $400 and wondering if that’s too much given the bikes age?
New to biking so sorry if silly question

Looks like a pretty clean build. If it fits go for it
He has more in the bike than it’s worth, but at least it won’t need any for a while
Rim brake gravel bice!
The cassette seems a bit small for a 1×9 system. If you’re in a hilly area I’d imagine you’d run out of gears pretty quick but if you’re ripping around on flats this seems like a solid deal
I have a slightly newer model of this bike. It’s one of my favorite bikes to ride. Super light, feels like a road bike, but can fit bigger tires (mine can fit 38mm in the back, 42mm in the front). If I were to sell mine I’d want at least $400 as well.
A lot of new stock old parts and a mix of low and mid-tier components. Not sure it’s worth that price.
I saw that on fb marketplace too! I think it’s good
Looks like a “1x by-necessity” build where the front shifter or front derailleur broke. $400 would be an OK bike for either a legit 1-x or a complete functional 2x build. Would make an ok “pit bike” for an amateur cyclocross racer.
that drivetrain doesn’t have a very low gear. I’d give 400 if it had a 2x drivetrain. still, not a terrible deal.
Super cool build! Probably can still rip a cross course pretty well, too.
