Didn’t preload the rear suspension. A tale as old as time.
And when he recovers from his concussion, smack him in the head and tell him to wear a helmet.

he LEANED TOO FAR forward 😀

Got bucked. Didn’t absorb the bump with his knees (and didn’t pump it to jump either) so the front end was already going back down and the rear wheel got kicked up which continued his rotation. I suspect he made it worse by freaking out and squeezing the brake, so as soon as the front end touched down, he got fully tossed over the bars.
Dumb to ride like that without a helmet.

Weight over the front + hitting the front brake will do that

Looks like he stood up (and braked?) at the moment the bird hit him, so his body’s momentum was aiming high and fast while the bike was low and slow.

Potentially the coefficient of friction got too low on the tires.

Someone hit him with a rock. Or bird hit him. I don’t know but it looks like it was a direct hit.
