What a warm welcome we received, starting at the border, where smiling truck drivers and military officers kept repeating, "Welcome to Kazakhstan."
We quickly had to adjust to the three-hour time change (compared to Spain 🇪🇸), instead of the six we had in China.
After crossing the border, we reached the first large town, where we found a гостиницу—guesthouse—and managed to exchange money at the local bazaar.
