My first “proper bike” was a 2014 specialized enduro Evo back in 2020. Thought it was the coolest thing. No lock outs, older suspension, and a complete lack of skill. Learned a bunch and loved the downhill oriented style. Ended up selling in 2022 and been without a bike until 2 days ago. Picked up a 2022 stumperjumper evo expert and holy. I didn’t realize what a tank the enduro was. The stumpy is better in every single aspect. I’m a casual with hopes of getting faster/ learning how to jump but I’ll never tap into the limits of the stumpy I’m sure. Long story short, I have way too much bike just to try and bomb local trails. The end goal is to get into park riding but it’ll probably be a year of testing myself before trying. Pushed my own limits here and there on my first ride yesterday and the bike just floated over anything I was nervous about. Time to learn better riding posture so I can get more comfortable trying to lean/ toss the bike into corners. Any advice/ tips welcome for a guy looking to get faster! 🤘😅

Bike geometry took a big jump forward around 2020. Modern trail bikes ride so much better than older euro bikes. Don’t be afraid to mess with the suspension and tire pressures. Sometimes small adjustments go a long way.
