I bike and ride a Onewheel and have been using a pair of $7 safety glasses for a few years that still work pretty well to grab as I’m running out the door but I was looking for something a little more deliberate. Some thoughts are slightly more comfortable, wide FOV, slightly less prone to scratching in my pocket etc, and ideally under $100 but if there’s something stylish and safe that’ll last a lifetime I could splurge. I ride primarily in the city but sometimes I do trails etc, but safety around cars most is key.

I can’t decide if I want to get something like:

I have a pair of Rockbros photochromic glasses that I wear day and night. They were something like $30 which is important for me because I am terrible with losing or destroying my sunglasses but I’ve had them for 2 years now without issue. They do begin to fog at night in cold temps if I’m waiting at a light for a while but they’re fine while I’m in motion.

Cold and snow I use ski goggles. Night clear protective glasses. Rain it depends upon how bright it is.

  3. How cold does it get? Single digits and below goggles are game changers, but you gotta spring for the more expensive ones that don’t fog up

I was on the fence about spending a lot of money on some fancy cycling glasses or going super cheap on something off of Amazon. I went for mid-range glasses from Tifosi. I got the Rail glasses in the Blue Fototec color and it has worked well. No cold air in my eyes and they have enough transition for sunny afternoons. Early morning night riding is working out well too. They aren’t $30 cheap of Amazon glasses nor are they $150 big brand glasses. At $80 they feel solid and durable. I’m thinking they’ll last a while.
