[Ep. 1084] A real-time ride from Leiden to The Hague, on the so-called Via44, continuous cycle route that runs parallel to the N44 in the province of South-Holland in The Netherlands. The route is 11 km long* and was filmed in May 2025. (* to the edge of The Hague -until 28:45- from there as a bonus the 3km extra to The Hague Central Station.)

  1. What's sad is, when I was a child living in the Netherlands (you passed my old house in Wassenaar) I always thought it was all so boring. Now as an adult I can appreciate how beautiful it all is, but no longer live there.

  3. Wrong turn indeed. The N44 is not the most pleasant, but, of course, in the Netherlands wrong turn is often not a problem as the car route also has safe, protected bike lanes 😅
