[Ep. 1084] A real-time ride from Leiden to The Hague, on the so-called Via44, continuous cycle route that runs parallel to the N44 in the province of South-Holland in The Netherlands. The route is 11 km long* and was filmed in May 2025. (* to the edge of The Hague -until 28:45- from there as a bonus the 3km extra to The Hague Central Station.)

Very nice!
What a lovely bit of cycling infrastructure. I especially liked the route through the wooded area. And was that a chap with a helmet on at about 32:45?
De N44 blijft een verkeersriool. En aan het eind is die automobilist die het fietspad oprijdt ook wel een fraaie.
This is the infrastructure we need here in Cincinnati Ohio USA. That was awesome! Thank you.
Excellent video ! Very nice variety of scenery.
Anyone else watch these long videos on double speed?
What's sad is, when I was a child living in the Netherlands (you passed my old house in Wassenaar) I always thought it was all so boring. Now as an adult I can appreciate how beautiful it all is, but no longer live there.
Afgezien van het asfalt is de route nauwelijks anders dan veertig jaar geleden.
Nice ride! I really enjoyed how you captured the calm Dutch atmosphere — it feels so real.
I’ve recently started a small channel called Netherlands By Bike, where I share unedited rides with only natural sounds, just like this.
It’s inspiring to see other cyclists filming the beauty of the Netherlands too. 🚴♂️🇳🇱
2.0 speed was nice . A lot of road for not many bikes? Nice ride though..
Wrong turn indeed. The N44 is not the most pleasant, but, of course, in the Netherlands wrong turn is often not a problem as the car route also has safe, protected bike lanes 😅
Funny you should post this. I'm making this same trip today. It's been an absolute joy exploring NL on a bike so far.
Wow!! This is amazing and other worldly!!
The bike paths look tidy. Is this video from Germany? But I hear the sound of a bike needing maintenance or something😊🎉❤
One thing I really don't understand is, why are those loud scooters allowed anywhere near the bike roads.
