desperately trying to find a cheap frame which is belt drive compatible. Found this one which is pretty cheap, but originally it's used with an Alfine 8. Could I turn this into a fixed gear/Single speed? Don't know how I could tension the belt

It looks like it already has an eccentric bottom bracket, should give enough tension
This was mentioned in another thread as I think most belt frames need a frame break to get the belt on.

~~There’s nothing at all special about that frame, you may as well find the best deal you can on a steel frame with horizontal dropouts since you want single speed, then have a frame split professionally installed for the belt.~~
Failing to notice details, please ignore.
You tension the belt or chain with the eccentric bottom bracket.
Belts are a single piece that cannot be cut like a chain. To get them into the rear triangle, the rear triangle need to split in the middle. You see this in frames designed for belt, there is a split in the seat stay that is secured by bolts.
I can’t see this here, but sometimes it’s not obvious as some designs are trying to hide if for aesthetic reasons. The seller of the frame will list it as a primary feature, since this is why people buy those frames in the first place.

Hyde pro frame? Easy chain drive. But you need to stop at the back triangle. I can’t tell if that has it or not But it probably does. The Cube editor Frame, you can tell easy. Hm
