I decided to see how far an AliExpress build could go.

Frame: Airwolf YFR066 in matte metallic pink
Cockpit: Kocevlo bar + Daremo stem
Drivetrain: LTWOO ERX V1 groupset with a Praxis Zayante Carbon crank
Chain & cassette: SUMC chain / ZTTO ultralight cassette
Wheels: Covet Carbon (1330 g) wrapped in Maxxis High Road SL tires
Brakes: Chaser 160 mm rotors
Pedals: Forte titanium SPD

Final weight: 6.68 kg— comfortably under the UCI limit.

It’s an absolute blast to ride. Shifts cleanly, brakes confidently, and the frame finish glows in the light.

So… can an AliExpress build be bike porn? I'll probably get roasted but thought I would find out!

  1. While seeing boutique or super expensive bike builds is fun, I absolutely love seeing Aliexpress builds.

You get to see how people make do with unconventional build parts and combine them all together – especially on a budget. It’s creativity and it becomes a really unique bike amongst mainstream brands.

So when executed well, yes, it can be.

  2. A bike that gives you happiness or joy is…as long as it doesn’t fall apart and hurt you lol

  3. Yes it can. It looks neat. Wish the pictures were more fitting for bikeporn. But it’s inspiration too. Looks like fun!
