Hey everyone, it’s Nathan here from Easy Rides. Today we’re going to be doing a sidebyside comparison of some of the most popular electric dirt bikes on the market. That’s going to be the Tarias, the MX4, the MX5, and the brand new 2025 Tallaria Komodo. These are some of the biggest and fastest dirt bikes I’ve ever seen. But let’s start off with the MX4. It’s been a popular favorite for the past 5 years. It’s an absolute awesome machine with a 60vt 45 amp battery that has a little bit more range than any other bike you’re used to. It still has your toggable suspensions. It still has your nice headlight system right up front here. Still got some nice strong shocks on it with some nice thick wheels. Um, you start to see on the MX4 is one of the first bikes that really brought out the concept of a removable battery. Just like this system right here. You pop it open just like this system here. You just pop it open and then there you have access to your battery to be taken in and out charged wherever and whenever. Absolutely awesome system and it does have a good amount of ride time on it as well. Usually people are getting about 100 110 km. I usually say is hey you’re going to be getting about 2 hours on these machines before you got to take them back and plug them in again. One of the really nice part about the Tari as well is that it still has all these systems that you still are looking for. Even though the MX4 hasn’t been around for as long as the MX5 or it’s been around longer, sorry, than the Komodo, the MX5, it still has your regen settings. It still has your sport mode, your eco mode, your really nice horn systems, still has a headlight, still has everything that you guys have been looking for on an electric dirt bike. And just because it’s, you know, made a couple years ago, doesn’t mean that it isn’t up to date. They’re still being made in 2025. They’re still a really high quality bike that you guys can get in an awesome price. One thing I also really like about these systems is that they’re really easy to straddle. They’re a little bit smaller in their actual bikes, so you’re going to be able to, you know, take them around and be able to get on and off a lot easier than comparing to a Komoto and MX5. You do have a couple inches right here, right on the system that you’ll be straddling just to have that little bit of extra room for you. It’s a really, really nice bike. Still has the same mineral oil brakes. Still has really high quality brake calibers. Still has really high quality headlights. Good, good top speed, good ranges, good acceleration, an awesome bike. Now, next thing I want to get into is the MX5. The MX5 came out late September last year is when we first started seeing them in Canada, and it been an absolute game changer since. One of my personal favorite parts. This part always goes unnoticed, is these studded foot pegs. Just to show you guys here, I’ll put my feet on some of them. I’ll start to pull and nothing’s going I can’t move. I have that studded foot peg there. I’m never going to feel like I’m flying off this machine, keeping me nice and safe and keep me grounded to the unit. It also has a little bit better of that on the-fly shock system where you can just move it just from the push of a button rather than having to stop all the time. So, just these guys here are called on the-fly shocks. You’re going to be able to change them just about anywhere. They also come with regen levers. They have a new mode called the hyper mode to add on to that sport mode as well. If you’re looking for that little bit of extra bit of acceleration that comes from having a 72volt battery inside this system right here, jumping from the 60 volts that we’ve seen so so popular, it now has a 72 volt that has been absolutely killer. One of the first things the MX5 introduced to these electric dirt bike is toggable headlights. So, just from the click of a button on my left hand here, right above the horn, is you’re going to be able to turn your headlights on and off. A lot of people really like this feature just for the reasoning that you’re able to control how much energy you’re using. If you’re riding during the day on a trail, you don’t have to keep your headlight on. You don’t have to continue to drain your battery for that. It has a really high quality suspension back and has really, really great shocks up front. It also has a little bit of a thicker back wheel chain, better brakes, and a little bit of that better top speed. And acceleration is off the charts on these guys. There are 72vt 40 amp battery, 13 kW peak power, and I’ve been absolutely killer for these. It also has your regen settings just like every other bike. You can change it from 1 through 4. You can change any of these systems right here. I always ride mine on a one. A lot of people ride them on four. Depends on what you’re used to, depends on what you like. Got to try it out for yourself. Now, one thing you will notice is that we are getting a little bit bigger in this midsection right here. So, this bike is meant for someone who’s a little bit bigger as well. It’s a little bit of a more beefy up front there. But, there is some systems that make that a little bit easier. One being these studded foot pegs I feel like are just a little bit closer. Um, and make it just so you’re not going to have your knees super super bent. Um, but you’re still going to be able to ride them for anyone. These battery covers also come off just with the click of a button just like the other unit there. It’s uh a little bit of a two-hand job because you got to push down that center system. But as we can see here, I can fully take off my cover. I can adjust this part right here if I want to make the battery tighter or looser inside the system. And from here, I can access my battery. I can take it out. I can continue to charge it inside the unit. I have all these features readily available. And to snap it back in, you’re going to have these two hooks right up front. These guys here just clip right in. It snaps back down. There you go. Your batter is nice and secure and you’re ready to ride again. So, that’s been the MX5 that came out last year and it’s been absolutely killer for the electric dirt bike market. It’s been something that’s been completely different. It’s been something that we were really excited to see and has really made its waves inside of the electric dirt bike community, especially in Canada. Now, next up is the Taria Komodo. And guys, I mean, we’re in for a treat with this one. It’s an awesome bike. It’s super big and it has a much bigger system. Even when you’re riding it or walking next to it, you’re going to notice right from the get-go that, hey, this is a bigger bike. This is meant for serious riding and it’s been a serious bike that’s been super super fun every time I’ve tested it out. Um, these systems move a little bit differently. So, first things first is let’s take a look on how to actually take out your battery. I know that’s one of the most asked questions I get, and it’s not the same key slot. Open up the seat or open up the cover. If we come on over to the left side of this bike, you’re going to notice a small clip right here. And just on that clip right there, you just have to pull it up. It’s going to come out. You’re going to have to unhook it from the front. And then here you have all your battery. So, you can just take it out right there. You’re going to have to take out some screws. You’re going to be able to take out your battery. Keep in mind, it is a 97.2 volt battery. This thing is massive. It’s much bigger than any other unit we’ve seen in a very, very long time. Clip it back in. Will take some practice getting used to. I always put it right back in there. And then from this point, I can adjust it just by looking at where the hook goes. Always just make sure I’m good there. Clip back in. And we’re good to go. Now, to turn on these actual units, you’re going to need to have a couple of things ready for you right at the start. These guys here have a magnet just to be able to pull them if you ever come off. It’s going to stop the unit, but you have to make sure that’s on to actually start the unit. Next up here is you have two switches. So, this is going to be a wheel lock. This is going to be able to keep it nice and safe. That’s going to unlock your wheels on that first turn, and that second turn is going to be able to turn on the unit. It has a start button here as well. And you’re gonna have to have your kickstand up. Once I put my kickstand up, nothing actually happens. I hit the start button right over here and boom, I’m in hyper mode. I’m ready to go. Same adjustable regen lever settings. Again, keep it on whatever you’re used to, whatever you’re comfortable with, whatever exemplifies your ride and makes it better for you. Definitely something that is personable towards you. One thing the Komoto has that not any other electric dirt bike has at this point is a 32,000 watt peak motor. Absolutely insane torque speeds, everything like that. This guy rates up to about 754 new m of torque. It’s 0 to 50 is in less than 2 seconds. You’re going to be feeling like you’re flying on this thing. Definitely something for a more experienced rider and definitely something we’ve seen around that’s been absolutely killer. I’m very excited to have this size of bike. It’s a midsize dirt bike. Not quite a full size, but a midsize dirt bike that really holds up in the competition and something that we’ve seen a lot of people take out and have a lot of fun so far. One other thing you do get on the Komoto that you don’t get on any other electric dirt bike that I’ve seen is a reverse feature. You’re going to be able to hold that reverse button, put your bike in reverse, and you’re going to be able to actually be able to control rather than having to walk back. Still has a regen lever, still has a throttle just like every other electric dirt bike or every other Toaria that we’ve seen. Um, good solid back wheel size on this guy. I mean, absolutely awesome. Going to be able to go through the mud, going to be able to go through the dirt, going to be able to go through everything. It has lights on the back here. So, it does have a brake light for you, just so you’re going to be able to see. And a super super thick chain. Also, with a unit this big, you need brakes just as big, right? So, the Komoto has these upgraded brake calibers and pads that you’re going to be able to see. They’re going to be able to hold its weight and stop on a dime. These guys are absolutely killer bikes. They’re super super fun. It’s a 97.2 2 45 amp battery which is absolutely massive. I really can’t wait to see more of these. Um there’s going to be tons of cool decals coming out of them just like every other Taria bike. They’re brand new to Canada so they’re really really cool and we’ve seen a great performance by Tallaria and distributing them can and uh I’m very excited to see it on the streets. You guys have a good day now.
