So bike buses are a group of families who get together before school in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon and they cycle as a group in in convoy to get to school. So it gives people a chance to try different in a group that gives them comfort and safety uh led by a volunteer. We’ve got our national guidance that teaches people how to do this safely. And it’s also backed by a training offer. So you can actually if you don’t know how to cycle, Bikeability Trust can teach you how to cycle so that you can become a bike bus volunteer. I would say you should try because it’s good for the environment and it’s very fun. I would actually say the same. We’re so grateful to the Bike Worster volunteers for for helping to run this because it’s it’s raising awareness about how actually the challenges for our children trying to get to school safely. The roads are incredibly busy as you can probably see and hear. So having them provide us with the volunteers and the kind of the music, the the fun, Kiki the dog, all of that really inspires our children to get to school in a different way and to think that they they’re just as entitled to a safe route on the road as as the drivers of cars. Really enjoying the fact that we could do together as a community and encourage other families to do the same. So and now it’s huge, which is really lovely. And everyone’s coming along. pavements are all waving and everyone’s kind of really enjoying it. It just creates a really happy uh mood for the morning when we get the kids into school. It’s always the day that they’re the most excited to go to school. [Music]
