Been hoarding parts for both of these builds for a long time. The Kooka cranks on the Stumpjumper are from my childhood bike, and most of the XTR bits are from one of my dad's old Otis Guy beam bikes that rusted out.

  • First bike: 1993 Stumpjumper FS converted to 650b and stripped and blued (paint was fucked when I got it, but it was $15!). Kooka cranks with NOS QBP Engagement Rings (not cracked yet…), Kona P2 suspension corrected fork, XTR/XT group, Improve Part brakes to make the 650b conversion work, and SimWorks Still Cruisin' bars. All of the red parts were originally meant for a red M2 Stumpjumper, but that bike has not come together yet.
  • Second bike: 1993 Hardrock Ultra running 2.4's and rocking a basket. This is currently my wife's bike, but I ride it often. Ebay Cook Bro's cranks (cause I just could not resist getting all matchy matchy), XTR/XT group, Paul front wheel and XT rear, both running 2.4's.

Good ole’ improveparts! Impressions of the brakes? I’ve never purchased anything from them before but appreciate their CK 2nut conversion kit which it’s maddening that CK does not provide. Enjoy your rigs!
