I think it happened in the night, I didn't hear anything weird when riding last or have any hard impacts. I don't think I over torqued it, but I guess I could have.

I’ve seen 3 stems snap like that in the 10 years that I rode consistently. All three were the same exact make and model, probably poor casting. Not sure about here but definitely go get yourself a new stem asap. No point in breaking your face when it snaps.
edit: HOLD UP I DIDN’T LOOK AT THE PHOTO! I think thats the same stem lmaooo
Looks like lower quality casting, vs. forged or CNC; must have defects, it happens.

Get you a SandM better quality
You need to always check the torque specs on the stem this was caused by excessive torque on the stem bolts. Get an Allen key torque wrench bro
