Hi everybody
I recently got back on my bike and bought a pair of Odi longneck after reading a lot of good stuff about them
Although they are indeed comfortable and grippy and all, I admit I was expecting them to last longer
Four months of light riding (an hour every other day on the pumptrack, learning barspins, etc.) and they look like this already
Is this normal for grips to deteriorate that fast ? Did I get a pair from a bad batch ? Any alternative brand or model to recommend trying ?
Thanks

  1. Get the hard plastic one ! They will last longer than you but use gloves
Yeah they melt quick , is for ur hand comfort .

  2. They have a similar grip pattern to the odyssey broc raiford which I used to run. After just two months they looked like the basement rats snacked on ‘em. Currently running ‘harder’ grips like the cinema interlace and shadow gipsy, they’ve been holding up better.

  3. BMXing is hard on grips, I’ve had Cult Vans grips on my shopping bike for nearly a year with little wear but they lasted less than 6 weeks on my BMX before I’d worn through them.

ODI do Longnecks in a couple of different compounds, the SLX flangeless ones are softer than the ST ones with flanges.
