  1. It’s a good deal but there’s some nuance here. As long as it hasn’t been ridden many tens of thousands of kms year round, the frame will be wonderful. Pinarellos are known for great handling and geometry, it’ll be light and stiff too. Giants of the age you’re looking at were not known for fantastic quality. They had a dedicated fan club but they were pretty cheaply made and likely won’t be as nice to ride as the pinarello frame, definitely not as smooth/tight geometry.

The benefit of the Giants is, I think, the modern(ish) Shimano groupsets, which imo are gonna be way nicer to use, live with, service, upgrade and fix than the old campy on this FP Quattro.

Speed wise the giants will likely be faster with their deep wheels and tube sections, the pinarello will probably be a bit lighter but not enough to matter unless you literally live in the mountains.

I think it comes down to priorities: the giants will be a little less graceful, a little less perfect carbon-wise and won’t handle as nicely, the pinarello will have a slightly clunkier groupset and won’t go as fast on the flat. If you like riding up hills, the pinarello will definitely feel better even if it’s not loads lighter.

Either way this is a lot of bike for the money, just replace the tires with the biggest performance ones you can fit in the frame (probably 25mm, conti gp5ks would be great, ultrasport iiis are good on a budget), it’ll make a world of difference.
