Hey gang, let me know if I'm just dumb before I go back to the shop tomorrow. Asked them to install a Works components angle headset to slacken my HT by 2 degrees. Here is what they did. I think the upper cup should be reversed so the steerer is closer to the rider, right? Lower cup looks correct. I've included the instructions from Works
The objective of all this is to make my steering more stable by increasing trail. So I think I was correct in asking them to slacken it, yeah? Not a mechanic so I am second guessing myself haha.

To increase trail, the steerer tube should be closer to you on the top and farther away on the bottom. That’s not what you got, barring any other issues…
Definitely doesn’t look like the slack position at the top.
Yea they 100% made the head tube angle steeper… mechanic was stoned or fucking stupid.
Unless you wanted a steeper HTA, yes, they screwed up.
Top is definitely steeper. The bottom all I can tell from the pic is something isn’t right.
