Hey, what’s the best way to drive around Iceland? Oh, that’s easy. You take the one. Yeah, which one? You take the one road. I know Iceland is small, but you must have more than one road. No, the road is number one. Exactly. I I want the best road. No, it it’s not the number one road. It is road number one. You’re confusing me. Who Who’s on first? No, there’s one road that goes around the country. Oh, yeah. Obviously, Iceland is tiny. Oh, come on. But but the number of that road is one. Oh, that’s simple. Why Why didn’t you say that in the first place? Wait, why are we friends again? So, how long does it take to go all the way around? Like 3 hours? Three? No, no, it’s more like 15 if you never stop. Wait, I I thought I was tiny. Population, yes, but it’s like more than twice the size of Denmark. Take that, Denmark. Wait, who who are you talking to? Oh nobody.

When I went to Iceland last year, we didn't have a crazy amount of time, so we spent most of the 4 days driving around the country making stops at random places we thought were cool. The only part of route 1 I didn't drive on was the part from Reykjavik to Akureri which we took via plane so that we could visit the Perlan
Fun fact: Iceland has the longest highway, … per capita.
Ireland is a bit smaller than Iceland. But we've a road/route called the SlΓ an AκlanκaiΔ‘ αΈΔ±Γ‘in aka the Wild Atlantic way. It's 2,600km and takes between one and two weeks to complete beginning to end.
So Iceland is Wizzard of Oz kind of place at this point, fallow the only road.

The best way to go around Australia is to follow Highway 1 also. But it's a bit more than 15 hours. If I drove north from Perth for 15 hours I'd be halfway to the border of my state. But Iceland has 3.79 people per square kilometre. My state Western Australia has 1.17 people per sq km.
Excellent βWhoβs on firstβ reference lol
