  1. There are a bunch of different spacers sizes you can get. Your LBS will have different ones to choose from if that one doesn’t work.

  2. Fox 36 is 180pm and the hs2 rotor does not exist in 203, only 200. You need the 20mm adapter without the washers.

  3. Looks fine to me, using spacers instead of a +23 isn’t ideal but you can make it work.

Maybe try aligning with the crosshair adjustment screws, clean the rotor with IPA, and re-bed in the pads (maybe sand a new layer if they look glazed).

  4. You are missing the cup and cone washers…please install them before you break your caliper.

  5. That’s an HS2 rotor. They only come in 200mm. You need to remove the spacers and just use the adapter.

You also need to purchase the correct Hayes PM adapter.

There are so many bad answers here. You have several things going on. Rotor is 200 not 203, definitely should be no washers between caliper and adapter, and I think the sram adapter you have will interfere with caliper body. You just need a +20 adapter made by Hayes/north shore billet/Magura as they have more clearance

  7. Couple things going on here:

If it’s a 203mm rotor, you need a 23mm mount adapter, not 20mm. For Hayes Dominion A4 brake calipers you either need the Hayes brake mount adapter or the Galfer brake mount adapters work too. I know because I’m using them for my Hayes.

Then, like all the others are saying, do not use washers or spacers. Mount everything directly.

  8. Brake adapters aren’t that expensive. Buy the right one. Especially for Hayes which are finicky.

Galfer adapters are amazing precisely because you don’t have to deal with this washer-spacer nonsense
