Jensen plow ride little track with Tim to tenber super quick step of course with Tim we have picnic pastel with Tobius Andre and Olaf Ko for Visma Lisa bike mate Mosqueti for the Q36.5 team Xiaana in almost the same kind of color as the beat cycling club with David Balerini Gleonita could do the sprint it’s a little bit unclear who they’re going for Lotto has got Arnold Dele out there Tom Kraba is a good bet for the Fllanders Balwaza And then Sunday for Mashanti and then yeah and Lucas Kubish of course for the rockets the Slovakian national champion and then we have some riders for the uh yeah the teams uh from the Netherlands who could do a good result in in a sprint and uh we’ll have to wait to see who that is actually going to be. For now, this Melissa bike at less than three kilometers from the line have a tight lid on things with Bart Lema, Julian Verot, La and Olaf Koi behind him. Then a little bit of a train of the Sudal Quickstep with of course Bon Lebe and Tim. Tim of course not in that European Champions jersey anymore. Sadly, we’re not going to see that for an entire year since Pagacha is already the world champion and you cannot wear both. It also doesn’t go to the runner up either. So we will not see that jersey in action. But Timia back in the Sudal Quickstep kit for this sprint. And now Michael, it’s all about positioning. There’s a lot of shoulder barging going on. Everybody trying to get the best position going into those tight corners because you said at 600 m there’s still a corner. Yeah, there’s corner at 800 meters, corner at 600 meter. There’s a roundabout which we go straight over at a kilometer to go, but it goes into a narrow section of road. So all of these riders, all of these teams know that it’s absolutely critical to be in good position, in really key position at a at a kilometer to go. And so there’s almost we’ve been through the race to 3 km to go, which didn’t make a lot of difference today. There’s almost another race now of the Flam Rouge just for for that positioning factor. [Applause] It’s going to be a very very exciting final kilometer. We have that train of picnic pasta on the right hand side of the road. Lucas Kubish is trying to hitch a right there as well. It’s it’s so difficult to keep position. I know the lead on the left hand side of the road now next to Tim Malier. Tobas Lun Andre is there as well with number 45 for picnic pastel on the wheel of Neils Aov. Laort is still there for Olaf Ko who’s trying to move up on this roundabout. And now this this little move by Little Track into the final kilometer. Kristoff Labok onto the wheel of the Little Track rider whose teammate is a little bit further back. Timon To about eight position at the moment. All the riders that we expected to see are at the front right now. Uh with only Olaf Koi and Lun Andrean left with a lead out man. This is such a tight little corner here. Let’s see if everybody gets through it in one piece and then we have to go onto the bridge. There’s a slight gradient of about 3% onto the bridge. We do have a tailwind so you can start your sprint a little bit early. La glancing over his shoulder to see where Olaf Ko is. Toen in the colors of lead track moving to the front. I know the Lee is up there as well. David Balerini moving up. Simon dee Tim Denny from Popp everybody is trying to move to the front. Sunis and this is a sprint with Axia through the middle right now. Tim onto his wheel. Denny from Bubble the Dutch champion trying to get past Tim. Olaf Koy. Olaf Koy. It is going to be in front of his fan club. Olaf Koi. Tim. I think Mal has got it in the end with a final bike throw. I think Tim has got it. And that would be win number 16 I think for Tim. Win number 16 for Tim Merier. And that kind of felt like that was a real mano or mano sprint. They both came into that from out of a bunch in different points at almost the same time and just sprinted one against the other and a style that always feels a little bit oldfashioned and Timberlair just edged just had just had the strength. It didn’t look like a tailwind sprint, did it, Josie? It looked I think I think the gradient was more important than the tailwind. Um I think that was a hard sprint in the end, but yeah, Tim Merier Tim Mer takes it. Most definitely. And it took quite a lot out of him. We had quite a mellow stage, 118 km, nothing major really happened, but yeah, doing a 2 3% gradient sprint. Let’s see it from an overhead shot. Take us through it. Well, you can just see how strung out this is from the, you know, from the narrow sections of the race. Um, and then a lot of riders now trying to move up who’ just been caught outside. I thought Arreland delay in the middle in the lot jersey. I thought he’d got it right, but just at this point he kind of started to, you know, he he lost a few a few lengths there and have to go again. Christoff Leaport did a great lead out for Alav Koy, but the guy who kind of surfed the wheels and was in the middle of the bunch and in a bit more shelter is Tim Merll who just pops out and this is Koi against Mer up the hill onto the bridge and on the not quite on the throw. He had half a length. Um it was a clear win as well. Um yeah. Yeah, he did. Um, but it was a kind of a sprint, a one-on-one sprint, which is quite nice. 50th win of the season, 5-0 for Sudal Quickstep. Yeah, the brunt of those. 16 for Paul Manet, 16 for Tim. And and that’s more than individual teams actually have, just the two riders. And

  1. Sprinters are a different breed of cat. Overhead of Merlier surfing his way to the front and making instantaneous decisions—tough to make the brain work when you’re in an anaerobic haze! The unsung heroes are the lead out men who put in huge watts at the front, hoping their sprinter is still there. There’s no looking back when it gets really fast. 😊😅

  2. Just when I thought the pro road racing season was over, more racing! Great for us fans, but I have no idea how the racers feel about it. Fantastic sprint finish today! It's great seeing top sprinters duke it out like that.
