  1. Had it on watch for a long time just to see how it develops. Unfortunately not my size.
But let me humbly correct you – Stumpjumpers were never known for their expensive parts, they came with what most other companies were using. They were never the best-equipped (though always fitting their price ranges), never the lightest (though mostly on the lighter side of competition) and frames were decent (yet never top of the market tubing).

It is a good quality frame, but nothing special when it comes to tubing material either. This one is essentially a Tange Prestige, and it’s really clean, so it is worth the money imo if you know what to do with it. Just expect it to look a bit more used in real life than on these high gloss pictures.

Big downside is the “missing” fork – value comes from the complete set, because it’s much a collector’s issue and it will be basically impossible to find the matching fork (rigid or sus) – and it will be more expensive than the frame. Guess that’s why this offer has been sitting for a while and is being reduced with time.

They won big because they were early bitd to have a nice geometry dialed in when others were still experimenting, they used well-working parts, no junk, and they had their marketing and sales network working strategically smart to grow huge over the years.
