So I bought these two complete cult wheels last night for 40 bucks and they are awesome. However they are noticeably heavier and I now reel front heavy on bunny hops etc.
Old Fiction Trojan front wheel: 4lbs 2oz New Cult (idk model) front wheel: 4lbs 10oz
I’m wondering what exactly make this wheel heavier and these are my guesses:
1) The new tires size is 2.4″ where as the old is 2.3″
2) My old rims are single walled and I’m guessing these cult wheels are double walled?
Also, where can I find model numbers for these cult wheels? I want to assume they are the devotion front and rear set.

Double walled rims will do it, the trade off is they’re much stronger. Generally tyre weight doesn’t massively change unless we’re talking kevlar bead or a specific lightweight tyres, so 2:3-2.4 won’t make any massive difference.
Tires can hold a lot of weight, I bet don’t of it is from the rubber.
