Hi all, just thought I would share this. This is the second reincarnation of my Cinder Cone.
I used this bike for mountain biking back in the day when shocks were only a dream. It was a great bike, light, lively and nippy (single track only!!)
The frame has spent the last 3 years gathering dust. I always intended to use it as a commuter, so eventually got it together to give it a paint job and put new bits when I couldn't salvage anything from my parts box.
Yes, I need fenders, but if a spoiler, but practical. I will put a rack and a pannier bag when I get them, save me sweating more than I need to.
I have had it on the road a few days a week and I enjoy the wake up feeling when I arrive at work.
It's great to get back out on my old bike.

Seat collar clamp is backwards? I thought Konas of that era had forward facing ones.
