As part of a charity event that the company i work for was hosting, i cycled from (well….just outside) Manchester to Birmingham. Yes, i swapped the baggies for some lycra, put some slicks on the gravel bike and set off on an all day adventure. I very nearly didn’t make this having been held up on the motorway for nearly an hour! We had support from Red Fox cycling, which was awesome! Having a support van with snacks and food was pretty special. As was being able to cycle 157kms into the centre of Birmingham was a pretty amazing feeling!

So, we’re off on a long ride today. 145 km from just outside Manchester to Birmingham. One of our offices. Sun is shining. This thing’s across. Probably the first and only time you’ll see me in Lyra. So yeah, we’ll share updates as we go. Few wrong turns. We’re on our move now. Done our first enk. Getting closer. 20k in now. Pace has been right. We’re away from the busy roads now edge all the houses with all this new one going [Music] First pit stop done. We are now was it 41k in. So another 100 plus km to go. just uh haven’t stopped [Music] now. 55k in. My legs are starting to feel it now. As long as I keep a steady pace, we should be all right. Heat. [Music] Heat. I think we’re near Birmingham. We have done uh I think we’re about 135 km now. So, we’re on the home stretch. Lights fading, but we’re still trucking. We’re getting closer by the step.
