I’m on the market for a new bike. Currently riding a 9 yo basic Triban and as I’m riding more often I’d like to buy a better bike.
I’m 50, usually a trail runner, living in the French alps. Looking for a bike for for one ride a week between 40 and 60 km with uphill sections.
This second hand bike is for sale at 1350 euros. Seems to be in good shape.
Good idea ? Acceptable price ?

What I see? I guess it is Giant Defy 7th Gen. It has Shimano 105 5800 series mechanical shift and brake groupset, 50/34t chainrings and 11-32t cassette, this combination are a killer hill! But it has a conversion patented via Giant Hydraulic adapter from mechanical to Hydraulic… Giant PR2 wheelset is heavy more than other aftermarket wheels. By the way, frame has a relax and more comfortable geometry for long distance and Endurance ride.
