Welcome to the 119th edition of Parour, one of the final races of the 2025 season. And as the autumn leaves fall, so does the curtain on the career of Arnold Dear. The French sprinter won here in 21 and 22. The 34year-old nostalgic towards a race that’s been good to him. It’s about passion, no regrets, just giving everything until the very end. That final race where some might ease up. I always want to be on the attack to force splits. I always give my maximum. And even though the gravel paths weren’t exactly my specialtity, the fact that I’ve won here twice shows I can do it again. Strong classic riders who can sprint like an Dele should be licking their lips. The Belgian with six wins from his last eight race days and aiming to learn lessons from last year’s edition. [Music] Well, last year was really poor, but it is what it is. The weather is beautiful. Maybe a bit of wind, so we’ll have to stay alert during the race. As for the finale, it’ll be explosive. You need to be right at the front and not afraid. Like Par, it’s one of the oldest classics. So, it was a major change to introduce vineyard gravel paths a few years back. Par much more unpredictable race proving by Christo Leaport. Last year, the Frenchman wasn’t in top form, yet he returns as defending champion. Mentally, I’m starting with the idea that I’ll be in the mix and then we’ll see. It’s going to be a really long hard day. Just like always, I don’t know. I’ve not had a huge amount of fitness behind me. I haven’t done a lot of racing, so I’m not entirely sure what to expect in an event like this, but I think I could be there come the finish. Over 210 km from Shatra to Tur and the Boulevard Beeron. Yet the real challenge begins at 146k. After wind and potential echelons on the long planes, it’s time for the vineyard paths. 10k of gravel sectors in total short climbs that will electrify the finale. A demanding route that will reveal the true contenders likely to sprint in a reduced group for the win. A breakaway of six went early on, although that reduced soon on the first gravel sectors. One dropped, one punctured. The latter the fate suffered by Jordan Labros. Positioning imported with a fierce pace for the first two hours of nearly 50k on average. Dear and Riley Shien were caught on the wrong side, but were able to regroup with the rest of the pelaton. The front four entering the first vineyard path at Limray. Yatric Deceas Rutz Yan Jacobs and Kenny Molly the one minute in hand. UAE and Lotto were the driving forces at the front but the rocky roads were decimating the pack. Run Heragots won Paris but his hopes were dashed. One of 28 who did not finish. For those still trucking a gap blown apart inside the 50k mark. The breakaway reeled in. Decathlon AG2R bringing French champion Dorian Godon to the front looking in fine fit. The Belon was down to around 50 riders and now was fracturing further. Last year’s runner up Matias Vashek hitting the accelerator sharply with 35k to go. A good time to test those legs and a home duo kicked on. Tibo Guuel and former national champion Paul Leera. French compatriot Vantan Maduas tried to go with but missed the bus. Taking some seconds but plenty work to do and trouble for Dele. A change of bike necessary after a puncture. A big blow to the Belgian’s hopes as the favorites group moved on. No such problems for a dangerous looking Vach aided by teammate Yasper Stoven. Dele receiving help as Alex Sega dropped back to pick up his companion. While up the road, La Pera and Guuel were clinging to a slender lead. Less than 10 seconds with 20k to go as they approached Veru. The Pelaton did take its foot off the gas. The gap rising towards 40 seconds. Upcoming the crucial combination of the Kota Valley Chartier and gravel sector number two, Leo Morier. The race about to ignite into life. On the Kota de Valley Chartier, Alessandro Kovi and Albert Philipsson formed a counterattack, not just an appetizer before the main course served by the 2024 champion. A huge attack from Christoff Leaport and he formed a fantastic five chase. Philipsson able to cling on with Vachek, Stephan Biser, and two-time winner Matio Trenton in tow. 20 seconds gap with 17k to go. With the final defining combination, gravel sector number one at Rush Ko and the subsequent climb. The suspense palpable, but time running out. Leaport kicked on the final ascent. Too much for Vach while Biser comfortable with teammate La Pera up the road. Pursuit fell to Tudtor’s pros, Italian Trenton, and fellow twotime champion Leaport. So close for local favorite Tibo Guell. Having grown up just 25 km from T. He and La Pera are clinging on to try and complete a spectacular climax. The pair collaborating, but Leaport’s group bearing down. 1,000 m to go. And these two riders are about to hand this race to the chase. What are they doing? Why have they decided to do this? This is not good news. How to throw away a bike. Grace could well be unfolding in front of you right now. Yep. They are about to throw this away to the group of riders behind and they’ve been caught. Absolutely incredible to ride like that and to bring four other riders into the game. They had it in the bag. They would have finished first and second. And Bisager now gets ready with La Pera. Maybe that was the plan. Surely not. 4 hours and 18 minutes of racing. Have Tibo Grill and Paul Laa handed this race to the group of riders behind. Biza starts the sprint. He starts to lead it out for his teammate. But Philipsson is getting ready and he’s the big danger man, but so is Matteo Trentine. Trentine now kicks on the right hand side. Matteo Trentine looking for this victory. Does he have the legs? Philipsson now challenges. Matteo Trentine. It’s almost slow motion. Trentine takes a hat-tick of wins in the Parry Tour. [Music] A treble of triumphs for Matio Trenton. But this the first time the former European champion had done so on the new gravel course. 2015 17 and now 2025. A seventime Grand Tour stage winner. Another milestone for the 36-year-old Italian. Finally, I can actually win a race this year. Uh after the tour of France, I was feeling really good. Finally, the the legs were what it should be. Uh I was bit I was a bit unlucky and uh in Hamburg I got injured and I had to wait again to come back racing. But yeah, finally finally I got it. The 119th Parry Tour sees Matthew Trenton once again crowned his champion. Kristoff Leaport ran out of road while Dane Philipsson took third ahead of Brave Laer and Kruell. Join us next year for the 120th edition, the final autumn classic and one of the last great rendevous of the season.

Philipsen and Seixas will dominate Fladers and LBL after Pogi is done.
What a strange move… can’t find a single reason to slow down like that.
