what are your thoughts on like how you would deal with the homeless issue just like there and just like world uh Countrywide yeah you just don’t put up with it you just clean it up you tell them you got to leave you got to move pick up your stuff will put you to a shelter so Democrat politicians want it they don’t care they don’t care about the the the cleanliness or the Vitality of a city it’s too bad it’s tragic so like when you say like remove him like no not like you know disperse them like where the police officer goes up to him it’s do this in any decent city right New York used to do this for a while under Giuliani say sir you got to leave or ma’am you got to leave no I don’t want to you got to leave I’ll be back in an hour you do it super humanly come back they’re still there be like I really don’t want to do this we got we got to leave and if they don’t leave then you say you got to get in the squad car and you put them in the squad car you don’t arrest them you just bring them to the homeless shelter and then you give them a meal you give them treatment right you keep their stuff together you you do it the right way but acting as if the Street’s your home it’s bad for them by the way you know how many of these poor homeless people wander in the street they get hit by cars and they’re in ERS and it’s it’s terrible it’s awful

Not a homeless problem. Drug and mental health problem.
That’s honestly a really fair solution to tell them they need to be in shelters
Charlie isn't right. He said give "them" a ride in a squad car. He did bash Democrats which has nothing to do with it. Being given a ride to a homeless shelter is so "what then"? Homes cost money.
Jesus taught how to deal with it. And this is THE EXACT opposite of it.
Conservatives hate Jesus message more than any group of people
Homeless is allowed because of money.. we need to have homeless reform.. they are mentally not well.. many veterans, and drug addicts and mental health problems… Make drugs legal all but antibiotics.. OTC… Remove welfare system and alimony and child support and personal income tax and homestead property tax remove unconstitutional laws and regulations and limitations now remove bribes aka lobbyists and kickbacks for government representatives remove census counts for government representatives for non citizens remove anchor babies citizenship remove qualified immunity remove civil asset forfeiture… Have civics classes and testing yearly for school and politicians and economics…
Yeah but they just leave the shelter. So on and so forth.
174 homeless 70 bed no money
A simple and excellent solution by a man with a good heart who unfortunately sought to deny the LGBTQ people their hard-won rights.
It is terrible when they get hit by cars they could actually put a dent in your car and raise your car insurance
The vast majority of the homeless don't want help. They are perfectly happy being dead weight and will do everything thing possible to keep being homeless.
First time Ive completely disagreed with Charlie. Society is the problem on most levels. Humans should care for other humans, not be forced to fight for themselves and their families alone .. but be in the already free position of being able to help each other freely… We put a price tag on everything, including the ground itself, some people don't play that delusion game, to say they should be swept out minus the broom is just grotesque, he's showing me he ain't a Christian in this clip, he'd sweep Jesus off the street. What a dolt. He's promoting fascism like wtf…. People born in their own country should be allowed to freely build their own home, in fact that should be the graduation part of their new education
Is he implying homeless people shouldn't be outside until they afford their own real home or perhaps they should stay in the shelter the rest of their Godforsaken life?…
WAAAY EASIER SAID THAN DONE! There are 1,000'+ homeless people in every city. Shelter will be ready to kick anyone out and the food is more likely sorry.
Chuck you Farlie
Democrats in California don't care
It's not as easy as it sounds. But I like the way it's emphasized to be caring and loving about it. Many of them are also mentally ill. Just putting them in a shelter alone is not going to get them on the path to a normal life. Both Dems and Reps, heck our whole country just needs to care more, stop wasting money in non-value things.
Miss you, man. A brother lost, the army of brothers behind him shall pick up his flag. Continue the mission.
He had the solutions to these problems, may the ones after him be as wise and charismatic.
Now I understand why Charly is dead
I agree with Charlie, put the homeless in abandoned military bases that the Democrats closed. Why waste tax payer dollars of the past and let those former bases rot. Renovation and relocation!
The shelters are overcrowded. We need affordable housing. Perhaps use the Habitat for Humanity model of sweat equity into their housing, or build Tiny Homes for the homeless, with sweat equity. Just cut some funds feom defense( we really shouldn't be in 1 war after another), and use the funds in the right way- house the homeless, and give them practical job training, dignity, and their life back.
Agreed
Jesus was homeless. Just saying. Are we sending Jesus Christ to a shelter and treatment?
It's so obvious. Having homeless everywhere drags down the city. Move them to shelters, give them a pathway to stable employment and a life worth living. Make drug/alcohol rehabilitation sessions mandatory. For those who can't/won't recover, we have jails/prisons and mental institutes. As a side note, this is a particularly irritating topic given the illegals coming into England being housed in luxury hotels. I'd rather our home-grown homeless in those hotels than illegals.
So to solve homelessness is to enact socialism policies? Kind of like giving farmers, aid/ welfare?
No root cause solution here. Just sweep it under the rug. Not surprised by someone who could not make it past junior college. Major fail
Don't help them. If anything, every time one gets hit by a car, it's a W. The mainstream right needs to get more based. These people are not worth a damn until they can prove it. The Christian right gets too much on this moralist all-men-are-created-equal shit.
And all of this requires tax dollars, which Republicans are constantly undercutting by a) giving tax breaks to billionaires and b) funneling tax dollars to the military instead of social programs. Charlie Kirk was right about this, he just didn’t like that the solution required money to go to social programs.
Firm but humane. We miss you, Charlie.
Or keep throwing billions of dollars & keep the problem going. “More resources”🙄
And this guy was a millionaire with terrible takes like this. First of all, many homeless people dislike going into the shelter because they're not allowed to bring their items or pets with them. Second of all, homeless shelters are not permanent housing. They're temporary housing. So shrugging your shoulders, saying "clean the streets and take them to a homeless shelter" is not a real or permanent solution, it's a band-aid non-solution.
I love Charlie but there aren’t enough shelter beds for all the homeless people.
I don’t know what the homeless shelter situation is where Charlie lives but I’m pretty sure in most large cities there isn’t enough shelters to permanently house the entire homeless population at once. How is that a sustainable solution?
