Been riding around the whole year just as it was built up earlier with the v brake on the rear. Finally managed to find a local framebuiler and pulled the trigger on the rear disc conversion. Here are the results so far. Not sure what to do . Leave raw and clear coat or paint it?? V-brake bosses are coming off this week. Any suggestions welcome.

Sweet conversion! Did he fabricate the PM bracket himself or did he buy it somewhere?
If you want to clear coat it, be sure to remove all the flux and beginning rust at first (like the last to pictures show). I painted my converted frame black in the affected area as it was not really possible to color match it with a modern 2k paint system…
Regarding the brake bosses: I would leave them on! Gives you the versatility to back to rimbrakes and you can even use them for other purposes. On my bike, I mounted a cable guide for the disc brake on there:
