I live near a small mountain resort that opened some MTB trails this year.
They are selling bikes from their rental fleet including a bunch of Norco Shore A Park Zeb's for $CAD 2999.
I'm fairly inexperienced and currently ride a hard-tail.
I'm looking at upgrading to full suspension and wondering if these ex-rentals are a good deal.
They look in fairly good condition and not too beaten up.
Fact that they are ex-rental aside, is this a good deal on a second hand full suspension for the money?

$CAD 5.6k new (on sale for 4.7 right now)
Any words of wisdom appreciated -thanks.

Not a bad deal, but it’s going to be a bit heavy and rough for trails. It’s definitely a park oriented bike. I would look elsewhere for a trail bike, the markets weak and there’s plenty of options.
Generally ex rental bikes are pretty trashed and beat up, I would proceed with some degree of caution.
Fine for park (lift serviced) riding but will probably need a full service on:
Shock
Forks
Frame bearings
Brakes
In addition to those after a summer I also needed, tires, wheel true, new bb, new derailleur so take that into account but maybe the shop is servicing them before sale?
Seems like a fair price. I’m in two minds about the ex rentals as most of the people I’ve seen on rental bikes at least in whistler are beginners so not going to be riding them that hard, however if they’re ridden every day for the season that can definitely add up.
