Just moved in to a new, small apartment. Need to keep my bike somewhat out of the way while I rearrange stuff. Will almost certainly get one of those bike wall hooks eventually.
It’s fine, if anything any air you might have in the back brake will move to the lever where it’s easier to deal with.

Bad for your wall paint, unless you want it to turn black

Rim brake guy here: Is this even necessary?

I used to do this when my bike was on my NSR rack to keep the front wheel from spinning

It will be fine, if there is air in the brake system it will go toward the lever & be easy to burp the air out.

Why don’t you just flip it, so the saddle is wedged in the corner? You’re gonna leave a lot of stains on that wall this way.

I get so confused with which brake is which when I’m sitting on the couch because my motorcycle has the front brake on the right but my bike has the front brake on the left.
Somehow my hands know which are the right levers when I’m actually riding but on my couch it’s confusing.
