I recently travelled with my bike in a bag, and when I got back, I found my rear disc was rubbing against the frame when I tightened the thru axle fully. The hub width is 142mm, and the thru axle says 163mm length on it. I think I do have the end cap installed on both sides? So I'm not sure what's causing the issue. Help!

Brake caliper alignment issue. Loosen the retaining bolts for the caliper, fully depress the brake lever, then tighten the bolts with the lever fully depressed.

As much as people are talking about spacers, there shouldn’t be spacers on hubs. They aren’t safe. Measure your total endcap to endcap distance and see if it’s 142/135/148/150/157 (whatever it’s supposed to be.) if you were traveling with this bike in a bag it may be the back of the bike was compressed and is now out of alignment.

Make sure the free hub body is installed correctly. It could but creating more space on the drive side.
