Please help: $450 2012 Orbea Aqua Dama TTG or $400 Giant Liv Thrive CoMax 1? (AUD)

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated as I am new to bicycles!

TLDR; which one is better value considering I want drop bars (the second option is a hybrid with flat bars), and are they worth their price tags?

Quick context, Im looking for my first road bike (i am a runner but recently started cycling on paved paths with my mtb to train for triathlon / cross training). So essentially Im not looking to break the bank nor a high end bike 😅 just something comfortable, can last me at least 5ish years, drop bars, and hopefully wheels which can fit some wider ones as I heard its more stable?

Which of the two options is better, and if I can, what price could I be able to negotiate to? (Hopefully less than AUD350?) And do they fit my needs or are there better options out there, etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

My first option is this 2012 Orbea Aqua Dama TTG for $450 and manufacturer price is apparently $2000 AUD ($1300 USD)? It has
– Shimano 105 and tiagra
– Carbon fork
– Brakes orbea pro
– orbea carbon stem
They bought it second-hand 6 years ago, stopped using 3 years ago (bought ebike)

I have another option which is this 2017 Giant Liv Thrive Comax 1 (last images) currently selling for $400. Sounds like some great components, and the manufacturer price is apparently AUD2,699 (USD1750):
– Groupset – Shimano 105 and tiagra
– Wheels – PRD-2 Disc
– Carbon fork
– Brakes Shimano Hydraulic Disc
They bought it secondhand for partner who has only used twice

However, the giant is a hybrid bike with flat road bars with bar ends. I am looking for a drop bar bike.

Would that be easy to convert to a drop bar though? I feel like this bike is quite a banger deal, so Im a bit stuck.
I heard changing is pricey, and not worth it as the geometry gets messed up or something.
(Seller said it would be easy but he didnt really explain it when I asked, so Im a bit confused since I read online that it is quite pricey).
