Well, certainly at this time uh at this moment anyway and you know, but it should also give you that carrot to keep on pushing, keep working to keep getting better because we’re seeing how quickly things change in this sport and um how you can, you know, find that next level. He’s already talked about what he thinks he needs to do over the winter, which is match those short explosive efforts that Buggacha puts in when he first puts in his attacks. And he’s going to go a new set of coaches. There’ll be some familiar faces. Belgian Cycling Federation members have gone over to to Red Bull. Coaches he’s worked with before are the new ones. And that’s where he’s heading this winter. It’s through the gate, though, and up onto the famous climb. Look at this. It looks glorious. [Applause] And the noise will be deafening for Pugatcha. The last three weeks he’s been alone at the front in that unique atmosphere in Kegali. Last week was full of French fans and here the Italian faithful are ready to see the man achieve something that’s never been done before. win a Monument Classic five consecutive seasons [Applause] and this lot will be conscious of what they’re witnessing. It’s history in the making right here at the J Lombardia. [Applause] 70 years, seven decades since Faster Copy was winning five. Bulga will do that, but he will do it in a style that’s never been done before. All five in a row. And what an image. What an atmosphere. [Applause] It is glorious. [Applause] Not many other sports in the world do you get to be that close to the superstars of the sports when they’re doing their business. And the business is being done yet again. It’s a homecoming parade for the conquering hero. the worst to climb out the way now. Zipping down the hill here and then twisting and turning into the center of Bergamo. It’s Paul’s turn to ride through the crowds. 1 minute 36 behind. A sense of deja vu for him. Chasing Pugacha again alone himself. The best of the rest for the third week running. Oops. And now then this could be a problem. This could be a real issue. Even a pool trying to get beyond that moto. Oh no, no, no. Oh, thank goodness. That will not affect the outcome of first and second. I think we think he’s got enough time for it not to affect the outcome of second and third thankfully as well. It’s quiet this side of town. The rest of the fans will be gathered down near the finish line. And those who are there, well, as is habitual nowadays, the phones will be out, photographs will be taken, moments recorded for posterity. And this, wherever you’re watching, whatever you’re doing is a moment. I know it sounds like it happening on a weekly basis right now with this man, but something truly special is about to happen. A brand new feat in professional cycling as of yet unlocked. And Bulgachad on his way to five in a row. Olympic champion beaten. He himself honoring that blue Sudal Quickstep jersey for the final time before moving on to past new in the winter. [Applause] A look around a look behind. There will be undoubted anger at what happened with a motorbike there, but he’s got enough time to finish off and make sure he finishes second. Yeah, luckily it didn’t sort of have any real sort of, you know, adverse effects on the outcome of the of the bike race. But here we go then into the final kilometer. A beaming smile for Tuga. It’s been three big weekends of racing. Rainbow jersey secured. European title taken for the first time in his career. A brand new race won for him last week in France. This one is going to be taken again. [Applause] Celebration day yet again for Pugacha. Thank you Rafer indeed. Rafael Mah retiring today helped set him up not just for any victory. This one is extra special. Since the 1950s, FTO copy has stood alone on the top step of the Lombardi Hall of Fame. 70 odd years since the era of Grand Chicmore. And the Campion, a modern Campion, becomes the first man to win five in a row. Copy has company and it’s Pogach. a 50th solo win, a 10th monument, and the first ever to five on the bounce. The jury de Lombardia in 2025 just as it has been every single time the world champion has ridden it belongs to Pugacha.

broooo the crowds…… goosebumps
Dopato…..non c'รจ altra spiegazione……..
This getting f absurd now. A lab rat experimented on by his Frankenstein team of doctors, medics and nefarious (ex rider) doping bosses.
Seriously…is it really because he's that good or have everyone just given up now and accepted the fact when this juiced up freak shows up they are racing for 2nd place.
Seems that way.
Dull
oh no no no remco moto driver what they did
Love hearing Rob Hatch!
As Lance Amstrong used to say "PAS NORMAL"
I stopped even watching highlights, Pogacar = boring
Mรกquina !
Cycling has become very predictable these days. And if Pogi wouldnโt have shown up these last 3 races, people would have complained even more about domination as the guy who would have won all TTโs would have also won these road races (and by some margin as well) and be double Olympic, double World and double European champ. Madness!

YAWWWNNNNNNNnnnnnnnn
Nobody has dominated his rivals in a sport like this, except maybe young Tiger Woods.
La carriรจre de Pogi c'est un dรฉsastre pour le cyclisme. Pour une gรฉnรฉration entiรจre.
Pogi made me to watch cycling and now am quitting watching football to the expense of cycling
In a season that outstrips superlatives, my favorite Pogacar ride was the last stage of the Tour. He didnโt win and had no reason to make such a heroic effort but he did it anyway because he just loves to race. Iโve followed cycling for nearly 40 years and, for me, this is the best itโs ever been
Armstrong too, was a "brand new campianissimo"…
Can anybody here share any insights, data that provides a reasonable explanation to this EXTREME domination in so many races by TP. It is more than "small gains". I followed nearly all pro cycling for the last 36 years. I have seen it all. NOBODY have ever been so dominant in races before, not even Eddy M in the 1970s. The pro peleton these days have never been more fit and optimized. Look at the time gaps today – 2:45 for third place. TP doesn't even look tired when he crossed the finish line. He truly seems to get some kind of "VIP treatment" to be as fast as the motorcycles. I'm sure that UAE have great staff on diet etc. But these victories by TP seems to superior to be true at least for me.
Congratulations Tadej on #5 โค๐
Typical Italian Police Organised police bike
It's becoming boring now the man has no equal he just rides away from everyone it's ridiculous
Slovenski Kralj ๐๐พ๐พ๐พ
The Lord of Lombardy.
a whole year beyond good…nice…no one is questioning this? remember armstrong…it took many years to admit…
Even if Pogi wins 100x more races, MvdP is still a greater champion.
Isn't Pogacar starting to get bored at watching Pogacar ride away with every race?
Cycling getting as boring as pole vault ๐
How fellow Slovene Luka Doncic is more famous than this sporting genius is a shame.
Thank you for existing, Pogi.
The greatest cyclist ever.
THE FIRST AND ONLY CYCLIST TO PODIUM ALL 5 MONUMENTS IN THE SAME SEASON (AND HE WON 3). In the same season he won BOTH the TdF and the WC, defending both titles, ANOTHER ACCOMPLISHMENT NO ONE HAS EVER DONE. This was the season following winning the "Triple Crown" of the Giro TdfF and the WC, where Pog added 2 Monuments, no one has ever won the "Triple" and even a single Monument in the same season. No question, he is the GOAT.
Unfortunately, professional cycling has become boring with Tadej Pogacar! This is not his fault because he just wants to win, which is completely normal from an athlete! But this is not really interesting for those who do not want a person to win everything! I don't even watch the races where it starts, and unfortunately more and more people do the same! I think no cannibals are needed! Diversity is what makes things interesting, not monotony! Regardless of my opinion, I congratulate Pogacar for the fantastic performance and the results he has achieved! Great cyclist!
Easy as pie
2nd place is the new champion.
Thatโs crazy when spectators are allowed to get that close at the narrow part of the road and slowed down the many cars and motorcycles.
Drug cheat
Cycling has become embarrassing! A whole peloton canโt beat one man. They all need to employ the same chemist as he has the best
Pogacar is the best of all time
Dopacar
Remco would have had the dream season, but for the Pog.
boring. tedious. don't like the commentator either. no sense of humour. but lets face it, most cyclists are tediously boring dullards.
I wish Quinn had more aero on his face. Shave up and finger cross for 2026
Tadej …. wow !!! Congratulations once again. We love you man !!!!
Quite simply a dream come true to witness re making history in our lifetime. This guy is top class, a true gentlemen, a perfect role model in this sport. A living legend
