Both 2022. Stumpy has fox 34 where as giant has fox 36 but the stumpy has an upgraded fox factory rear shock. This is my first real mountain bike and also first full sus so not sure which is a better setup.
I also included a deal I found on a niner rip 9 rdo. Not sure if it’s worth saving up a bit more. Also on the fence on a carbon frame.

Get the stumpy. Upgraded rear shock is worth it imo
Get the new trance. There’s no feeling like opening a brand new bike. And now is probably the best time to get a new bike.
Plus, you get a lifetime frame warranty.
But if that NINER fits you buy that so fast
