Looking for suggestion on cheap trunk bag that can fit 13-15" long and 10" wide (38cm x 26cm) backpack.

My bike cost $288 USD. So I'm looking for cheap solution. I am not going to consider anything that is like the cost of the bike. Preferrably something < $50 USD.

Details:

I use a light daypack for work: Deuter Speed Lite 21. It is an older model, that is very similar to this: https://www.deuter.com/int-en/shop/backpacks/p2206449-hiking-backpack-speed-lite-21

I have 15" laptop inside. This backpack is soft and not rigid. Although the backpack is larger than the laptop, the edges and corners can be folded. So I need something that can fit around 13-15" long and 10" wide (38cm x 26cm) backpack.

What I do now is that I tie another backpack onto my bike rack. I put my daypack into that larger backpack daily for commute.

This is how it looks like. This green backpack is "permanently" attached to bike rack:

Pro: I don't need to spend time to tie things down. I just slide my day use backpack in, close the zipper, tie down strap on top. I ride on dirt and gravel trails for commute that are very dusty. This setup keeps my actual backpack clean.

Con: It is a bit difficult to slide my day use backpack into the larger green backpack on the rack. Backpacks are top loading. But when tied down on the bike rack, the entry is now on the rear.

I'm just looking for nicer and faster solution. Something like trunk bag that is top loading (as laid down on the rack) will be much easier to load and unload. However, most trunk bags are not that big. This is the biggest one I can find, which is 15.7" x 8.6" (40cm x 22cm). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DS2DBRZX?smid=ACJFLXIJRIZK6&th=1

This might work if my laptop is angled in the bag, and not laid completely flat. I'm ok with that. But this bag's review is not good, as it is intended to be used as backpack. I just need a trunk that stays on the bike.

There are also some cheap pannier bags on Amazon. A bit overkill for my needs. But I'm not sure even those will fit.

Might look at what they have on Sierra trading post if you’re looking for cheap/inexpensive options. I know they had some panniers lately for like $30. Don’t know if they have anything that will suite your needs but worth a look.
