I 2600 m in my living room with this budget zift setup let me show you starting with the bike this is a canondale topstone one it’s an aluminum frame gravel bike with a carbon Fork moving on to the smart trainer this is a zift hub classic it’s a direct drive smart trainer the fan is a lasasco high velocity utility fan it’s got two outlets and three speeds a good fan is essential this is a good fan the desk is a rad Cycles trainer desk the quality is pretty bad I had to duct tape it on the first day it does the job the brand of matte I use is super mats it’s getting torn up but it keeps the floors clean and keeps everything from sliding around I run zift on my MacBook Pro but you could definitely just use your phone mounted right here the zift Hub has a built-in power meter but I also like to use my heart rate strap to measure how hard I’m working last little hack is to get a knee pad to put under the trainer to give it some motion I have a full video on my YouTube channel going through each of these things in depth check it out

  1. $100 for my saris M2, $40 for used tv, $40 for a used apple tv to run zwift. $20 used fan. A piece of scrap wood under my front tire. My "desk" is a stool I take from my kitchen.

  2. I figured I was the only person running a game as simple as Zwift off of a MacBook Pro but literally every video I watch it’s someone using a MacBook Pro

  3. Is this budget? I have an old spinning bike with the power pedals from my road bike. Total cost is less than $800 for both bike and pedals. My fan is aprox $20 and a plastic mat from IKEA was about the same.

  4. I got a wahoo kickr core with the zwift one cog for 500$ hooked up to a 2005 specialized sirrus i got for free from a friend. A front wheel block for 15$ off amazon. Zwift app cast from my android phone to the living room tv.

  5. I started zwift with an old wheel on trainer I got for free and a set of wahoo cadence/speed sensors linked to my phone. Honestly, it wasn’t that bad.
