As the paper moves through the printer, tiny yellow dots are also printed across the page. These dots are placed in a tight grid pattern so small that you can’t see it. They go between the lines, along the edges, and even in the blank spaces. And each set of dots form a pattern that stays perfectly aligned. This pattern holds a hidden code showing exactly when and where the page was printed. Meaning printed pages can be traced back to the exact machine that made

  1. Ok so I normally wear mega big glasses and after I watched this I got my microscope and I no cap saw little blue dots they weren’t yellow

  2. One of many reasons to own a dot matrix printer, no tracking dots! Plus, y'know, the fact it's got plug-n-play no-driver compatibility with literally every computer system since the 70s and costing basically nothing once you get them, being built like a tank so they run pretty much forever, and making sweet sweet music when they run. Not bad for 50 bucks on eBay.
