  1. Is it a triban rc100? I think the flat part comes like that out of the Factory. Tire is unlikely to be the issue, when you replace the tube for puncture check the rim for debris, they might be stuck somewhere and keep causing you punctures.

  2. How far have they been ridden? The way the tread appears to be feathered at the edges of the smooth section on the back appears to be wear. While I wouldn’t necessarily consider them done, I would definitely swap the two and do a complete inside out check to be sure there’s nothing stuck in there that could be puncturing it, and to be sure it feels like there’s still a bit of meat left, and it hasn’t gone paper thin.

    Those tires are ready to be changed when you buy bike with them, they are awfully slow.

    Buy something puncture protected and fast, like 35×622 Contact Urbans.

    Rims have to be inspected for sharp burrs on spoke hole eges, and wider rim tape may be neded.
