I was riding my MTB and once I came back on paved roads, I noticed a weird, rubbing noise. Turns out, the rear thru-axle was floating on one side, causing the entire wheel to tilt and rub against the frame.

As you can see from the photos, the part where the thru-axle screws into is completely missing. Not sure if this was just a single piece or multiple. The derailleur is still firmly attached.

According to my bike specs, I have the Shimano Deore XT RD-M8100-12-SGS.

Does anybody know which part exactly do I have to buy so I can repair this? Let me know if more or better photos are needed.

Thank you for any tips and help!

Check with your local bike shop if you can get the piece that is missing.
Don’t know what it is called, but you should easily be able to get one.
If bought online, check with the seller.
Bike brand and model is much useful than your derailleur.
