Testing Out Life in Bordeaux, France

I spent a week testing out life in Bordeaux, France and I loved it! It’s kind of like a smaller, easier-to-navigate version of Paris with incredible food and plenty of things to see. In this vlog, I’ll take you on a walk around the city and show you a few of my favorite spots: including a market visit, a ‘secret’ viewpoint, and an area of the city that’s artsy and very green. While I was in Bordeaux, I stayed at a coliving space called Outsite which is where I met the other three girls in this video. I’ve stayed at all three of Outsite’s properties in France and I can recommend all of them!

welcome to Bordeaux Bordeaux is one of my favorite cities in France it’s smaller and more manageable than Paris and is perfect for digital Nomads or anyone who may be looking to find a relaxing base for a while in this Vlog I’ll take you to some of the best spots in the city and give you a tour of the co- living space I stayed at hello from Bordeaux I am in Bordeaux France this week and I’ve been staying at a place called outside it’s like a coliving type Center for digital Nomads which is so nice because for once instead of meeting which is fine I love meeting Backpackers cuz I’m also a Backpacker but this week I’m hanging out with digital Nomads and other awesome women so uh can I introduce you guys real quick okay so today we have Marissa Rebecca and Nicole the idea for today is really just to give you an idea of what Bordeaux is like so think of this as a walking around boo casual Vlog tour Market okay so everyone’s been here before right I have only I’ve only been on the outside yeah this is my third time in this market but first time was the middle of the week and it was really quiet kind of dead and I thought oh you know it’s just it’s whatever it’s just like not a very popular market and I just happened to pass by yesterday on Saturday and it was popping for lack of a better word it was so busy and so I knew okay today I need to come back and get more treats there seems to be a huge rocking culture in Bordeaux a friend of mine who used to live here she was recommending me places to get Moroccan minty and I thought oh that’s interesting and I haven’t had a chance to try it yet then today I saw all these people drinking it here so I thought okay it’s time that’s good defitely has some sugar in it but I good around of sugar oy it’s super good right and fresh mint in there too I’m so impressed with that you want to try it it’s super good and you’re going to Morocco that’s good really good that’s going to be your new Addiction do you want yeah mag here’s my cookies do you recognize me yeah yesterday how good how are you was it good it was amazing I loved it that’s why I’m back yesterday when I was at this Market I got a cookie here and you know I I love cookies so much very passionate about cookies and I was just thinking oh it’ll just be your average cookie and no I love this so much I I’m back I got two two for five shy a little deal and I’m very excited randoms I thought but the cantaloupes in France are the best cantaloupes I’ve ever had in my life they’re just so bright I didn’t know that cantaloupe could be this good until I came here when you go to France get a cantaloupe okay how is it can I try to buy it thank you I’ve never tried it what’s it called a canal yeah this is a treat that is like famous in mdo I keep hearing about it but haven’t tried it yet I thought it would be hard no I know it’s like really moist and it’s really good isn’t it good say It’s Kind like a sticky like auding mm oh my gosh it’s a nice morning glass of wine and some rusty food we’re about to have normal French things I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing is this the right tool for this no it’s not that so basically we wandered down a bit further from the food market and now we’re outside of a big church this one and it looks like there’s more of a flea market Vibe here so books and antiques that kind of vibe that’s a yeah we just stumbled into this little store and the shopkeeper said that there is a little Terrace and view from the top I feel we’re going to a secret tree house that’s what do feels like this last step is slightly higher imagine coming down oh my God I didn’t think of that this is cool stunning this is why I just love a good wer because you never know yeah exactly welcome to More so we’re all still a little hungry and there’s this brunch place called Homies Kitchen and I’ve been eyeing and I have it saved on my phone so this is the perfect opportunity we’re going to get French I love this day today is perfect this is so fancy homemade cookie wow and then you we pour the milk in homemade milk we have hot milk here hot milk yeah I advised you to use the napkins to pour thank you very much so you pour you pour in you pour it in it and you you spin for like 10 to 15 seconds and you have ice oh cuz it’ll melt the cubes a bit Yeah exctly okay more you you spin the more you spin the more coffee you have wonderful thank you so much I love it worth 5 Guys this is like warm milk and a little glass bottle so cute I appreciate the effort the creativity wow I’m so have you never seen this no a never not on a video nothing this is so cool and then they put vanilla in the milk is that like the the cream vanilla cream on and then he said to stir or spin M I like I like spin cute and then the more you spin the more the coffee cubes will melt it’ll become more coffee tasting coffee just like a little SPL might be a tiny Splash that’s great and it has a little vanilla which is so hard to find I know is it really well they don’t really have um like syrups yeah I feel like they right so that’s a figa Pata some toast and then two Benedicts looks very good next to homie’s kitchen is the coolest Bookshop I wasn’t able to film much inside since the music was pretty loud but here’s a walk through I definitely wouldn’t miss it when you’re in Bordeaux okay it’s a rugby comic for your dad very you sweet the whole set so cute super cute and a poster for your apartment probably be like why I’m like I don’t know I blacked out in the store this way change this place that I’m staying at is called outside this is the third outside I’ve stayed in now essentially it’s like co- living spaces for digital Nomads it’s kind of who it’s marketed too I really like it I stayed at one in Bali just stayed in one for a week in bedar in the v country like a country house but what’s great is you have your own private room and then shared living spaces so you can still still meet people basically you walk in here here’s the front door there’s a little living space type of thing we have a projector but we haven’t figured out how to use it yet we have the dining room the kitchen it’s very spacious there’s two sets of fridges and plenty of dishes and everything and I haven’t really spent time out here but it’s just a nice little outdoor patio space and this particular property has a laundry room a little exercise room downstairs so I did laundry yesterday that was super easy free too which is nice and free laundry detergent and this face is kind of dark but yeah it’s an exercise space okay here is my room I picked up a little bit got a little desk to do some work a nice window for some fresh air and this looks down on that patio type [Music] space the girls are at a bar right now watching the F1 game and maybe rugby afterwards and I really want to go across the river cuz I don’t have a lot of days left just tomorrow after this so yeah for sure I want to go explore I’m crossing the bridge right now and it is a very muddy murky River walking over on this side is very interesting because I feel like I’m in a completely different City from the downtown part it’s very bougie actually in a in a nice way it’s quite aesthetic and green just seen like plants everywhere people are really utilizing the space a lot of familes out a lot of people playing sports and things so I like it so far and I’m officially in the Darwin ecosystem or whatever it’s called maybe a little 360 I’m really curious what these buildings were initially I don’t know it’s cool and supposedly there’s a skate park here so we’re we’re going to find that looks like a bar restaurant type of vibe everything is so cool it’s very cool this must be the skating bowl let’s see I don’t see anyone skating at the moment cute so colorful and green bunch of kids playing kind of feels like a giant art installation here of murals everywhere games like it’s made for people but it’s so pretty like look at all these murals and [Music] things this is a little Botanical Garden space Also close to Darwin like literally a couple blocks away so just walking through here enjoying the peace and quiet a bit and I thought I would talk about kind of like why I’m in Bordeaux I mean I work online and I’ve been traveling full-time for the last two years and I’ve come to really like France this is my third time in France and I felt this time that I just yeah I wanted to spend more time exploring some areas I haven’t seen before so initially it was in too with my mom at a summer camp for women then I just spent a week with my friends in the bass country I’m in Bordeaux for a week and soon I will actually be living in Paris living in an apartment there for few months so just really getting to know France and seeing what it’s like to live here and I really like the bass country that is a separate note but I could really see myself living there at least for a year so actually yesterday I like looked into the Visa process I was watching YouTube videos on it which is kind of funny maybe you’ll see me liveing there someday but yeah I don’t know I just wanted to take you along today and maybe if you’re you’ve always wanted to come to BAU or you’ve been curious about it hopefully this just shows you kind of what the vibe is like and gets you interested on that note I’m going to wrap up this
