I bought the bike back in 2007 and have done some minor bikepacking with it but the frame is very small. When I originally bought it, it was when I did more more intense mountain biking so the frame was intentionally small for clearance.
However, now it is tricky with frame bags as there’s very little space.
I’m loathed the replace it but can anyone suggest any frames that I could swap it with that accommodates 26” wheels and the old 1” 1/8th headset preferably as then I could reuse all my components.
My plan is to do a small 4 day tour that’s quite off road and rough so my gravel type bike would work well. Budget wise I’d like to spend as little as possible so I’m happy to try and source second hand I just can’t think of Mars and models from that era that may easily work with it.
