1996 LeMond Maillot Jaune. Brand new to me. First year Trek made LeMond bikes. It’s a 5000-series frame with a Campy Chorus groupset and Mavic rims. Amazing nimble, light bike with a KILLER livery. Some questions:
- These Cinelli bars are great, but I can’t ride these old-style bars any more (arthritis in my shoulders) and need modern geometry like the specialized compact drop bars. Does anyone make such a thing in an alloy silver 26mm bar? That matches the lightness of this one?
- What’s up with the gap between the lock ring and race adjustment ring on this headset? Missing a washer? All the photos I’ve ever seen of mid/late 90s Chorus headsets have the lock nut flush.
