These were made around 1997. Beach cruisers in the 1970s did not have cantilever brakes and indexed Shimano drivetrains. Still, I personally love this bike. Why? Because I’ve always wanted to make a Klunker out of one. Lose the whitewalls for more moto tires, Brooks saddle, Bear Trap pedals. It would not be a costly makeover. Well, okay, maybe. I’d probably add a more aggressive wheelset, a new crankset (TA Cyclotouriste, maybe>) Okay, I’d spend about $600 fixing one up.
