Hi there! My muddy trainers brought me back to Hope Valley! I ALWAYS wanted to see this plant from above! I must admit the layout of industrial complexes fascinates me. Hence, I gathered the courage and took to the skies above Hope Cement Works, currently owned by Breedon Group. Quote from their website: “…Our Hope cement plant in Derbyshire is recognised as the UK’s largest and has been in operation for more than 90 years.”
There you have it! Not only is it the largest (in terms of tonnage production p/a) in the UK, but it is surprisingly older than PDNP itself.

So, next time when you think of or see a concrete, it may well have Derbyshire cement in it!
