Cheap Brompton Alternative thats’s good and VAT-free.

Hercules made an interesting folder about 20 years ago called a Pro Versa. They're aluminum 16 inch bikes with Gates belt drive and a 4-speed Nexus hub. They sold for about 1000 Euros when new but you can often find them from 100-200 euros. It's got really nice tapered tubing that must have been really expensive to manufacture. It's geared a bit low for hill climbing but it's pushable. Don't pop any wheelies to jump curbs!😬 The folding works really well even though it's a bit larger than the Brompton. I never ride the bus or train very much anyway. For 150 euros you can't go wrong!
