My dad was gifted this bike from TREK (as a private shop, not a TREK shop) for selling so many TREKs.

But what’s the story that made this bike? Lemond name, OCLV is a trek carbon patent, it’s titanium steer and down tube, but carbon everywhere else.

Was this like a joint Lemond / TREK project?

BTW i took it down from the rafters and got it tuned up and ready to ride for the next day after the wife gave me to go ahead and not ride the tandem with her. 32miles and the first time I wore cleats in 18+years.

  1. Looks like a 2005 model, which is In the era that lemond licensed the Lemond name to trek.

Trek manufactured and sold Lemond bikes. This is what they called Spine construction, using a welded metal lower half bonded to a monocoque carbon upper. They were made between 2003 and 2006, and Tete de Course was top of the line.
