Here is my experience with standert as a US customer:
1. I purchased a frame back in August 2025. This was the Pfadfinder. All the product photos alluded to the frame coming spec’d with Chris King components. there was no mention of an optional upgrade, nothing in the specs saying otherwise.
2. I received the bike September 3rd 2025, with a “standert integrated” headset & expressed my confusion via email to standert, in which they responded that it was their mistake.
3. They have since changed the product photos and updated their spec, AFTER i sent my email.
4. fast-forward to October 2025, im building my bike and hit a roadblock with headset compliance with an ENVE stem. since the headset i received won’t integrate with ENVE.
5. i reached out to standert again, and they basically said that i needed to let them know i was going to spec ENVE, which is fair. BUT i also let them know that i didnt think i needed to since i thought i was getting chris king to which they said “On our website, on the bike specifications list is explicitly stated that the Chris King headset is not included in the order.”
which is completely false since they only changed the spec only after i brought this up to them.
at this point im ranting. and just need to know if my frustrations are valid

A standert complaint
Send this to them and send it back
Yes, this is why you look at what’s included and don’t rely on marketing pictures.
If it’s not stated explicitly listed, you have no case. They should have done better, but 🤷🏼♂️
The way I read it, they did not change the spec but clarified it.
They did not say that the frameset includes a Chris King headset. The photograph alluded that it might, but then they would clearly list it in the specification because a Chris King headset increases the value of the frameset.
I can understand your frustration but I also think that they are being reasonable.
2300 euros for metal frame lol.
Selling a frame with 300% markup and they couldn’t just send a headset to get it over with.
They specify headset is included, don’t call out specifics which leads you to look at the image. They fucked up, clearly because they updated the spec afterwards.
lol. Whole lotta amateur lawyers in here. Not that i‘m recommending anything here, but this kind of shit is likely in violation of the consumer protection laws of many states. Why do y’all think every box of cereal sold in the US says things like “enlarged to show texture” and “serving suggestion” (when shown with fruit, etc.). Product photos can absolutely create an actionable claim if there aren’t explicit disclaimers that the product pictured contains optional parts or doesn’t actually represent the item sold.
Straight up I would never have assumed it would include a CC headset—especially of there’s no mention of it in the specifications or build kit.
I probably would have just assumed it came with no headset given it’s not an integrated, frame-specific part.
Seems par for the course for German customer “service”.
