Had an old specialized mtb lying around, decided to give it a new life on the cheap to try out bikepacking.
Converted from 3×8 to a 1×8 with 11-42 cassette with 46t chainring at the front
Rigid forks fitted to replace old susp forks
Corner bars fitted (might swap to a drop bar at some point)
Worked pretty well, moved well on tarmac but ate up gravel and woodland paths no problem
What are your thoughts, any ideas to improve it?
