  1. Most likely not. This doesn’t seem like an issue with the workmanship, but rather due to some kind of impact to that area. I think best you could hope for would be crash replacement, but I wouldn’t go through that for this.

    This is one of the beefiest areas of the bike. Provided you get it checked by a bike shop and get the all clear, I’d find a paint that matches closest and paint over it, then seal it with a clear coat and be done with it. It’s likely to happen again anyway.

    No, I literally just had a similar issue on the underside of the chainstay and I had to use their crash replacement scheme to buy a new frame for about 1.2k USD.
