This was my very first trotike ride in Grindleva and it’s one of the most adventurous ways to experience the Alps. You pick up the Troto bike at the Bort Middle Station. Rent it right there and then start the downhill trail all the way to Grindleva Village. The ride takes about 10 minutes without stopping. But trust me, you’ll want to hit the brakes now and then to take in the views. The Trotter bike itself is like a mountain scooter with wide tires and suspension that handle gravel, bumps, and steep slopes. Some parts of the trail are smooth, but others get tricky with sharp turns and rocky sections that make it feel fast, risky, and full of adrenaline. Helmets are required and provided for free, and kids over 125 cm can join, too. Tickets are 21 Franks for adults and 17 for kids. And the ride is open from May to October. From start to finish, you’ll see alpine meadows, wooden farm houses, and the incredible Iger Mountain in the background.
