I’m looking for a advice on how to avoid jumping crookedly, sometimes when there is less speed or you just need to add that extra pop I see that I loose control, my bike is turning sideways.
I think maybe I m pulling one arm harder than the other but I’m not 100% sure if that’s the case. It happens mostly on local trails than in bike parks so maybe it’s a problem with how the jump was built?
Anyway maybe someone had a similar problem and know how to avoid it. I learned how to jump on my own so maybe my technique is wrong.
All advices and criticisms are welcome
Sometimes on jumps that need extra pop I tend to jump crookedly

This may sound like a cop-out but stance and balance are the key to most sports. If you are going into a feature not balanced or with an improper stance that gets amplified in the air as you no longer have the ground to hold you.
:04 of the vid you can see departure angles
I would work on squaring your body and bike to the jump. Work on being centred on the bike (think of that athletic position where you are ready to action ie, someone could push you from any angle and you could absorb it. ) Now when you preload your energy is square to the bike and the jump, the resulting pop is going to be in line with everything else.
Personally, I can trace all my fuckups to stance and balance. That said, you kept it together.
When I “pop” more by pushing with my arms the bike goes off the jump crooked. When I push with my legs the bike goes straight.
